Every Angle at VNSG Supply Chain Management Focusgroup
07.11.2009During the meeting of the VNSG (Association of Dutch speaking SAP users) focus group “Supply Chain Management on the 5th of November 2009, Richard den Ouden (Consultant, Every Angle) gave a presentation about supply chain management, stocks and working capital. The audience existed of supply chain experts who are members of this focus group.
Low stocks as a direct result of “Operational Control”
One of the main points of the presentation of Richard den Ouden was the fact that to keep stock levels as low as possible should not be a goal on its own to lower the working capital. By gaining “Operational Control” of business processes by managing them on the right KPI’s, an optimal stock level is the logical result, eventually leading to a decrease of working capital. A fast and easy way to access the relevant information is essential. Every Angle provides this for SAP run businesses, which gets them one step closer to “Operational Control”.
Case study: Every Angle at ASML
To illustrate his point, Richard den Ouden took a look at the supply chain of ASML. Their high-tech products are characterized by complex component lists and multiple types and series that often change. Managing the supply chain becomes even more of a challenge by the multitude of external partners. Decision supporting information regarding the operational processes that can be accessed fast and easy is essential. Every Angle offers the needed support in this area, which is why ASML uses Every Angle in their core processes.
