Every Angle within the SAP landscape
Every Angle is virtually always used in combination with SAP BI (BW) and has its own place in the SAP landscape.
The Every Angle system is mostly used in conjunction with an SAP BI (BW) system. SAP BI (BW) and Every Angle complement each other perfectly. SAP BI (BW) contains management information, with aggregated (condensed) data on the history. Every Angle is a system for operations management, which requires detailed information on what is happening here and now. Its speed and flexibility makes Every Angle an excellent tool for powerful analyses and instant answers to a wide range of ad-hoc questions. Every Angle enables you to create (business content) overviews and analyses which are difficult or impossible to generate within business intelligence systems such as SAP BI (BW). Every Angle can be used to provide this type of business content to a business intelligence system. This system can, in turn, convert information such as historic trend information on bottlenecks in the processes into standard management reports.
The SAP transaction system (R/3 or ECC) often forms the backbone of automation and corporate processes. Additional systems, some of which use NetWeaver technology and philosophy, can be used on top of that. Every Angle focuses on the central link of the preparation, execution and evaluation chain: execution. It takes up a useful, complementary position within the planning, transaction processing and evaluation processes.
