Electrabel: ‘Successful data migration, we removed garbage from our system’
Electrabel started a program named STAR Project to upgrade and align all SAP ERP systems within the European Electrabel organization. It used Every Angle to make sure the data migration would run smoothly and without transferring corrupted data. In this movie you will find Jos Hemmes explaining his role in the project.
‘Dealing with change management, data migration, planning and scoping’
Our aim was to have a common system over all Electrabel sites in Europe. My role was being a track lead for the departments Purchase and Inventory (P&I). I mainly had to deal with change management, data migration, planning and scoping.”
“The project went very well and the results of the data migration were good. The objects were migrated and validated in time with almost no errors. So the result of the use of Every Angle is that we don’t have garbage any more in our system.”
‘Finding the root cause of bottlenecks’
“Having no garbage in the system is especially important for the work I do at Electrabel. It’s of big value to me that we now have a good database with clean data, so I can make my analyzes very quickly and thoroughly, and find out what’s the root cause of current bottlenecks and processes.”
